Gasoline
Cowboys 98 Get Out of Town (Independent) ***
The Gasoline Cowboys were a band apart ... so far
apart that they never played, never built a following, let alone
a reputation. They were never cool and I guess they never wanted
to be. Get Out of Town, on the Pavement side of pop, could have
been huge, but wasn't. The songs are hit and miss, mostly hit, but
the missing is just as much fun. It is a fine, fulfilling document
of a band destined for the middle of the pack. In a world of losers,
this is a heroic and mighty achievement. Adam McGrath
